We as humans are a lot stronger than we give ourselves credit for and with belief you can will your body to do damn near anything! I’ve spent the past 9 days 1/2 blind (had a bad eye infection) but had some amazing time to reflect on what is most important to my success. While I am expected to make a full recovery the point of this article is to get you to make a pledge to YOURSELF, to start some sort of side business and quit letting your boss be responsible for your well being, financially and emotionally.
How do YOU define success?
From a personal standpoint isn’t there something you really want more of in your life? Is it that you want more time with your loved ones, or maybe you want more resources at your disposal and less financial burden? Would you like to simply spend more days on the beach or mountian and less in an office?
Whatever it is (and it could be multiple things) start by writing this down across the top of a blank sheet of paper.
Then ask yourself, would you be willing to invest a few hours a week for a few months to put a process in place to accomplish this for you?
It sounds trivially simple, but by setting goals in your mind then identifying a time commitment to achieve your goals you have already taken one of the most important steps.
Let’s say, for example, you can invest 4 hours a week. And you want to make an extra $800 a month. That’s $50/hour, or about $100,000/year. Would that kind of money help you achieve the goals you wrote down earlier? If so, read on…
The next step is to translate the requirement to an automated system that can accomplish the task.
