Effective Online Network Marketing in 2012

In 2012, online network marketing strategies are changing and if you’re not taking advantage of these key concepts you may be missing out on key leads or worse – leaving a lot of money on the table.

The “old school” techniques for network marketing are tried and true, and if you’re using them effectively I encourage you to continue doing so, but given the recent changes in how people connect online you may consider these ideas in your MLM venture.

Leveraging Online Network Marketing To REALLY Brand You

Online network marketing

We’ve all heard “brand yourself” but does that mean go out and whip up a website? There was a time when you could simply send people to your companies replicated webiste and generate leads, but in today’s online market you need to stand out from the crowd and to do that you need to brand yourself as a leader.

One area I see many online network marketers struggle is making a professional web presence. There’s nothing wrong with using stock website templates, setting up your own blog or using plugins and sidebar graphics but an eye for design and a knowledge of how these technologies work together is essential to a cross-platform compatible, consistent user experience in your web campaigns.

**An alternative to using a professional service is using a web toolkit such as the one included with MLSP.

The effectiveness of a website is ultimately about conversion, but matters like user experience, load time, security, design and other matters which contribute to this goal should be handled professionally.

Creating your online MLM presence doesn’t have to be time consuming, but will allow you to connect with and communicate to a large amount of people with a single blog post or update. It’s a powerful medium to reach thousands of people in minutes.

Prospecting On Social Media For Your Online Network Marketing Campaign

Effective network marketing is essentially the same online or offline in terms of process, it’s simply the medium and method you use to contact targeted leads. Facebook has nearly a billion users as of this writing, and between Twitter, Google+ and the myriad of other social networks out there you can reach large groups of targeted leads easier than ever.

Here’s an example of an effective online network marketing strategy I use: I’ll search Facebook for groups, which can have thousands of members. Let’s say I’m searching for home business leads, I may find a group with 5,000 people. I’ll then read through the wall posts to qualify potential prospects.

Once I find someone with a positive demeanor, I’ll send them a message to connect with them. It’s important to note, I’m not pitching them, merely making a connection.

Here’s an example of a message I may use when using this online network marketing strategy:

“Hi. I see you’re a fan of (home business, working from home, etc.). That’s awesome, I’m a work from home entrepreneur too and wanted to introduce myself. Can you believe this market?”

There are a few different reasons this works. First, I’m establishing a connection. I’m then establishing we’re similar, then relating with a question that illicit a response.

From there I can have a few correspondence and qualify if this person is someone I would consider for my business. Is that a bit different from how you’ve seen it done online?

Now you might think this is a great idea but never try it, and that’s fine. But if you are serious about growing your online network marketing presence, consider contacting 5-10 people per day on Facebook each day this week. Then leave a comment below to let me know if these online network marketing tips were helpful in reaching like-minded people.

The Network Marketing Business Model can be summed up in three words:

    Expose, Involve, Upgrade

Most people are trying to force their success by seeking out short cuts and that simply does not work.
