In the online sales industry I see many folks get discouraged by not “making enough money”, but the ironic truth is if they just focused on learning and applying skills that help solve more peoples problems instead of “getting rich quick”, money would begin to flow in their direction.
I don’t mean to imply anyone becomes a slave to the masses, but if you help people succeed in their business you have created value, and the total sum of your value in the marketplace is directly related to the amount of compensation you receive.
Have you ever been struggling with something, seen someone breeze by and thought, “Hey, I’m better than that person, why do they have all the luck”?
The truth is, there isn’t much luck involved in success over the long term in business. Success is simply income producing activities, habitually applied with consistency.
How To Effortlessly Increase Success In Your Business
Each time you do something you’ll produce a result. Well if you’re not getting the results you want using a given tool, it’s not the tools fault! It’s the application of the tool to do the job (or it’s the wrong tool).
For example, let’s say you are trying to hammer a nail using your weak hand. You know how to complete the job, but the first time you swing you may be a bit off. After a few tries, and through a series of small corrections you should be able to consistently hit the head of the nail and finish the job.
Online marketing can generate some of the biggest checks in the industry automatically, but not without first applying a proven system on a regular basis.
To produce the result you desire in business, whether it’s earning more money, enrolling more reps, getting more traffic, etc., I encourage you to focus on changing your daily process to consistently do the activities that create value and not the “reward” .
152,104 visitors and a $0 ad spend in 9 Months
I run about 12 different websites, but about a year ago I really started using this blog to generate income. I knew that if I could get traffic and drive that traffic through a proven web funnel, I could make a profit. So, instead of watching 30 more minutes of TV each night, I’d shut the tube off and write a post, or cut a video and post it online.
This took time, but in less than a year I’d created over 200 articles and generated 152,104 visitors from this one technique (with NO paid advertising).
That’s produced a healthy return on investment, and will continue to do so with out any further effort required on my part. And that’s a process you can scale.
If I focused on simply “selling people stuff” instead of creating valuable content, I would have sold less and had no residual source of free targeted traffic or list of qualified prospects.
Instead, by leading people through a process that matches their needs with a product or service that will fulfill their requirements I’m able to build a group of happy customers.
My goal with each day is to include as many activities as possible that I believe will generate income; sort of like how individual instruments combine to make a song.
A portion of my day may be spent on passive activities such as researching technology and trends or updating my blog, but the majority of my time working is spent split testing, generating content, connecting with new folks on Facebook, having meetings or talking on the phone with current and new clients/team members.
Being your own boss doesn’t mean not working, it means working on what you want when you want. It’s the discipline to apply a specific set of actions, consistently to achieve to a desired result that creates momentum that can sustain you financially.
